Cookie or Cakey is a play on something my Grampa would always ask his visitors - "A cook or a cakey?" basically meaning "do you want a biscuit or a cake?"
I'm Gillian, just a normal girl from Edinburgh who loves baking. Although when I'm not baking I can be found in the gym or working as a midwife.
I've been baking from an early age, helping my mum to make birthday and wedding cakes for friends and relatives, or just having fun making cupcakes, biscuits or one of our family favourties, flea cemetery.
This blog is my way of expressing my creative side and sharing my love of all things baked and probably a few other foodie things along the way.
